Running a Counter-Strike 2 server

  • game/csgo/cfg/server.cfg: hostname, passwords, rates
  • game_type and game_mode: which mode the server runs (for example competitive or deathmatch)

Good to know

  • Public servers need a Steam Game Server Login Token (GSLT) for app ID 730, created on Steam's game server account page.
  • Workshop maps load with host_workshop_map and the map's Workshop ID.
